001California Volunteer Honored by 100 Black Men
California attorney, author and international volunteer James W. Parkinson was inducted into 100 Black Men of Columbus and the Golden Triangle at a ceremony in the Court Square Towers Penthouse Tuesday evening. Parkinson is apparently the oly non-African American to be awarded membership in a 100 Black Men chapter.

Parkinson has worked with Columbus attorney Wilbur colom and other local African-Americans in the East Africa Breast-Care Program in Tanzania. Three years ago he was part of a group working in Tanzania that also included Colom, Dr. Paul Veal, Dr. Gregory Nunez and Dennis Erby of Columbus.
